Smores = LOVE

I've been craving for smores! I want to make some sweets for this week, maybe on Saturday with my sister. I know she's an expert when it comes with cooking or something. Can't waiiiiit! :)

I deserve to have a break. :)

The prelim exam is finally over. :) That's the good news for now. The bad news is we have to finish our thesis until the end of the month and defense will follow soon. This coming September I guess. June was one of the stressful month I've ever gone through. The good thing is we can have fun while having a research for our study. Our topic is about the potentials of Nagsasa Cove to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Zambales. We chose Nagsasa Cove because it's a virgin island yet have a nice view of the sea and mountains and have a greyish sand like what they have in Anawangin. We are planning to go there this month. Hope to have a great experience with my friends.

So fucked up that night. My sister's birthday is just a memorable one. Can't wait to celebrate my birthday there on August. Just an early reminder guys. Lol :)

Update.

Sorry for not updating my blog for so long. Been busy this summer because of my on-the-job training in Grand Canyon, AZ. I worked there as a Guest Room Attendant. Well, My work sucks. It was tiring and tough but I love it though. I have a lots of memorable experiences there that I will cherish forever. I will surely miss my life, my friends,co-workers, especially hiking in the Canyon.

Work during the day and party at night isn't so bad after all. :) That's how we usually spend our day. Work didn't seem like work at all. I had a lot of friends from different countries and learned a few of languages from them. How I wish I can speak fluently like them.

I hit Vegas for the first time, It was a memorable one with my friends. We stayed at Imperial Palace and saw a lot of drunk people in the streets. Lol Went shopping at the Designer's Outlet Mall and had fun goofing around the Strip. Enjoyed the night life and found out why they called it the Sin City.

I'll try to be active and update more. :)

Hiking the Canyon.

Wooooh! It's our day off! We decided to hike for me! Yeah, believe it or not It is for me. LOL My friends hiked the Bright Angel Trail without me. :| So to be fair, We hiked again with this weekend's snow. This time, It's South Kaibab trail. :))) The trail was sloppy and icy but it was fun. Got to do some sliding and shouting. :) Spring break have started here so we met a bunch of hikers during the day.

Eating and drinking frequently is a must. We have one stop over for snack. And one LOOOONG stop over to take some pictures of the Canyon. I was impressed with the view. It's almost paralyzing. So blessed that we got the chance to see one of the wonders of the world. How I wish my family were here too. :)

Read when you're bored. :)

I always had a book with me. In school, most especially when we travel. Reading actually take me to different places. My imagination is always overflowing. It is like you begin to create your own character, setting in your mind. Actually, It is my favorite past time, that's how I spend most of my lazy weekends. It gave me a lot of lessons in life. Yesterday, I started reading Susanna Morrow (by Megan Chance). I've been keeping this book for a long time. I guess this is the right time to read it because I have a lot of free time during tuesdays and weekends. I just finished reading Fanny and Sue last week and it made me cry a little at the end.

I promise to start reading thick books from now on. :)

I heart.

Count on me- Bruno Mars
Listening to radio is one of my end-of-the-day routine. I was getting ready for bed when I found myself listening to this song instead of sleeping. Bruno Mars never fails to impress me. The kind that makes you want to memorize every line so that you can sing it the next time. :) Can't wait to see his lovely performance here in the Philippines.

I will survive.

It has been a year since I suffered from rheumatic fever. It was like yesterday. It started from strep throat then an excessive joint pain most often in my ankles and elbows. So if you're suffering from strep throat, I recommend you pay a visit  to your doctor immediately. "Prevention is always better that cure."

There were times they carried me wherever I want to go. It's because I wasn't able to walk because of joint pain. They put me in the toilet, I peed then helped me back to bed again. That was my everyday routine. Darn it all. I had turned into a baby again, it seemed. I mostly didn't like the food they served and I usually left it untouched. I had to nap a few times a day like a little kid. I was too old for that but I had grown to enjoy naps, till now. :) There was a time I still couldn't stand up long enough to brush my hair, which I really wanted to do because it had started to look like a bird's nest. Lol

My life was so boring then, No night life, No beers, No LYKAFAYEMYKAALAINE! :( Yes, It was a nightmare for me. Till now I have ongoing medications. The worst thing is I have to live with injections till I reach 25 years old. Damn good, right?  But it gave me a lot of lessons in life. My family and friends showed their love and support for me. And now I knew they love me more than I'd ever suspected.

You guys better be aware of this disease. Read some articles about it. - Sarah.

I love Mama. :)

It's my Mom's 52nd birthday today. I so love her, No wonder why I've waited till 12am just to be the first one to greet her. :) She was my role model. She went through a lot and she made me strong. I know She's getting older, getting better, too. :)

Way back to childhood, She always remind me not to pursue dancing and just focus with my studies. You know what? At the back of my mind... I know She had always been proud of me. As you read this, my eyes are filled with tears. As I got home from school, She kissed and hugged me. It was so touchy because we've never been like this before. We are amazingly blessed to have a mom like her. Later we will have a little celebration. Just a dinner with mama's friends and family.

Tell me How, Tell me Who, Tell me When.

Let me share personal things about my love life. Aren't you thrilled? LOL. I admit. My heart had been wrong so many times. There were times I fall easily then regret at the end of it all. When I found out that the man I'd love for a long time was in love with another girl, I felt so weak. He even told me to just forget everything about us. The words were unbearably heavy for me and I felt like a complete idiot. It wasn't easy for me, I needed to talk with God. I knew He was behind it all. I shut the door in my room and started to cry. For one and a half years I'd been thinking of him as my potential husband. I never thought we ended up that way. He's messing everything up. Our plans & promises were fading. Though it hurts I still tried my best to understand.

Still crying, I began to thank God.(I know it sounds weird). But I know He's good to me. I know He's taking him away because He has something better for me. The one who really deserves me. That night was a turning point. I stopped trusting in my own plans and asked God to show me His.

My change of perspective began after we broke up. My friends were there to guide me.

I always hope that when I saw the man I was going to marry, It would be a sincere love. The real one.:) I have a long way to go. So far, I've been talking about my story. Would you share yours?

Subic-Zambales Trip.

My latest obsession is blogging. It was so much fun that I am now hooked on discovering nice places to visit. :) When our school organization(ATS) announced that we will be having a tour in Zambales, I didn't have a second thought but to join. Though I've been in Zambales last summer with my friends, I've always wanted to explore more attractions there like Anawangin Cove and Capones Island(Name it).

Fast forward to the day we arrived at Pundaquit Island. We rode a boat to Anawangin Cove where we had our lunch.

I was tongue-tied by the beauty of nature. Isn't inspiring?

After goofing around Anawangin Cove, We went to Capones Island. As we reach the Island, we began to trek. Sun-kissed on my face.

Despite the heat of the sun, some bruises and scars. We still chose to continue trekking. Yes, it was my first time & Twas FUN. :)

By around 7pm, We stopped by the terminal. We reached Grande Island Resort via ferry for about 20minutes. Their buffet dinner was the best. The day after, We attended the seminar about tourism. Team Building Activity where our group won twice. Banana boat ride was fun even the boat tilted. Anyway, that was what we wanted. :))

I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. I've learned a lot from this tour and I'm so grateful to be part of ATS.(Association of Tourism Students). Great experience to keep! :) Till next time. -Sarah.
